‘તે દિવસથી મારા નિવાસ માટે મંદિર બાંધવા ઇસ્રાએલના કોઇ કુળસમૂહના પ્રદેશમાંથી કોઇ શહેર પસંદ કર્યુ નહોતું, તેમ મારા લોકો ઇસ્રાએલીઓ ઉપર શાસન કરવા માટે મેં કોઇ માણસની પસંદગી કરી નહોતી, જ્યારથી મેં ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોને મિસરમાંથી બહાર કાઢયા ત્યારથી.

તે સમયે તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા તેમની પોતાની સેવા માંટે એક જગ્યાની પસંદગી કરશે ત્યાં હું આજ્ઞા કરું છું તે બધું તમાંરે લાવવું; તમાંરી ઊપજનો દશમો ભાગ,યજ્ઞો તેમજ તમાંરાં બધાં દહનાર્પણ તથા અન્ય અર્પણો તે જ જગ્યાએ ચડાવવાં. બાધા તરીકે ચઢાવવાની ખાસ ભેટો તમાંરે સાથે લાવવી.
