Acts 4:13
পিতর ও য়োহনের নির্ভীকতা দেখে ও তাঁরা য়ে লেখাপড়া না জানা সাধারণ মানুষ তা বুঝতে পেরে পর্ষদ আশ্চর্য হয়ে গেল৷ তখন তারা বুঝতে পারল য়ে পিতর ও য়োহন যীশুর সঙ্গে ছিলেন৷

এরপর যীশু, যাঁরা তাঁকে ধরতে এসেছিল, সেই প্রধান যাজক, মন্দির রক্ষী বাহিনীর পদস্থ কর্মচারীদের ও ইহুদী সমাজপতিদের উদ্দেশ্যে বললেন, ‘ডাকাত ধরতে লোকে য়েমন বের হয় তোমরাও কি সেরকম ছোরা ও লাঠি নিয়ে আমাকে ধরতে এসেছ?

তাই যীশু পিতর ও য়োহনকে বললেন, ‘যাও, আমাদের জন্য নিস্তারপর্বের ভোজ প্রস্তুত কর, য়েন আমরা তা গিয়ে খেতে পারি৷’
